Orcas Island Public Library benefits are available at no charge for anyone who lives, works, goes to school, or owns property on Orcas Island. We are a Washington State junior taxing district and as a result are largely funded by our district’s property taxes.

If you are just visiting, we offer a 30-day card for $10 or a nonresident card for $100 for the year. We offer reciprocity with library card holders on San Juan Island and Lopez Island.

Benefits of an Orcas Island Library card:

Cardholders are able to (1) sign-in to place holds and renew items from our online catalog; access digital resources including Libby, Kanopy, Consumer Reports, The New York Times, LinkedIn Learning, and more (via orcaslibrary.org/databases); (2) check out ebooks and audiobooks (via libbyapp.com or the Libby app on your mobile device); (3) create an account to stream free movies at kanopy.com or by using the Kanopy app on your mobile device or smart TV.
