Lynne Alexander is a self taught artist who has lived part time on Orcas Island for 30 years. 

Her husband, Mark Johnsen, was a reef net fisherman on Shaw Island after college for a few years. Later as an attorney specializing in land use and county work, Mark frequently returned to the islands. On one of these trips, Mark and Lynne fell in love with a house on Buck Mountain for sale. They purchased it and continue to enjoy the amazing views from their home perch. 

 The Islands have inspired Lynne's many landscape paintings and continue to enrich her creative spirit.
