Orcas Island Librarian Victoria Parker accepts a $1,000 grant from Phyllis Wilkinson, treasurer of the Orcas Garden Club. Library board chairman Savvy Sanders had a grip on the check, too. The money will be used to help complete landscaping along the south and west sides of the library. In addition to ornamental grasses, junipers, flowering crabapple, and distinctive Chinese Wisteria vines for the pillars will be introduced.
