Created by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in 2002, Money Smart Week is a public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. This is achieved through the collaboration and coordinated effort of hundreds of organizations across the country. Programming is offered to all demographics and income levels and covers all facets of personal finance.

The Federal Reserve Bank Board launched an interactive timeline, using video segments from the Chairman's March 2012 college lecture series about the Federal Reserve and the financial crisis. Each video segment includes a summary and self-check questions

For small business owners, independent contractors and sole proprietorships facing a web of confusing information and paperwork while seeking to apply for federal and state financial assistance programs, the team can help.

Many areas can be addressed like identifying the most appropriate programs, coping with current bottlenecks and constraints, submitting your application, and how to follow through to ensure your application is considered. You will also find answers to frequently asked questions listed on the site.

Help for individual to challenge the denial of unemployment benefits in two ways, through direct representation and their telephone helpline. National Employment Law Project:

NELP fights for policies to create good jobs, expand access to work, and strengthen protections and support for low-wage workers and unemployed workers. How do I apply for an SBA disaster loan?
There are three ways to apply for an SBA disaster assistance loan. The SBA operates an online portal where you can upload business documents and apply for a loan. You can also fill out the documents linked on the agency's website and mail them to the SBA's processing and disbursement center at 14925 Kingsport Rd., Fort Worth, TX, 76155-2243. The agency's forms say applicants can also submit forms in person at an SBA disaster center.

Can I apply for both SBA loan programs?
Businesses that receive a disaster loan can later refinance it into any Paycheck Protection Program loans they receive, offering a chance to lower the interest rate. A single business cannot apply for more than one Paycheck Protection Program loan, however.
